Call Now: 0409 296 758Amaroo is a well-established family pocket of Gungahlin, and we regularly collect around the Amaroo District Playing Fields and the shops on Kelleway Avenue. Double garages, side-access driveways and family SUVs are exactly what we deal with here every week.
Quick access via Anthony Rolfe Avenue and Gundaroo Drive keeps Amaroo and Bonner close to our regular Gungahlin route. We buy all makes and models, any condition.
Amaroo is one of the more established Gungahlin suburbs, built out through the late 1990s and early 2000s. It is denser than the older parts of Canberra but not as tight as the newest estates further north.
Amaroo was built through the late 1990s and 2000s, which means the housing is newer than most of Canberra but the cars are not. A lot of the vehicles we are called about here are the second car: the runabout that did the school run for a decade, the hand-me-down a teenager learned in, or the ute that has been parked beside the house since the last job finished.
Those cars are usually complete and often still running, which is the condition that holds the most value. Nothing has been stripped, the interior is intact, and the wheels and glass are all there. Tell us roughly what it is and what stopped it and we can usually be specific over the phone.
If the car is still registered in the ACT, you cancel the registration through Access Canberra after the sale and return the plates. You may be entitled to a refund of the unused portion. We give you a receipt of sale at collection, which is what you need to show the transfer date.
If the registration lapsed years ago and the plates are long gone, that is equally fine and far more common than people expect. An unregistered car is a completely normal sale for us and does not need a permit to be towed off your property.
Amaroo School sits in the middle of the suburb and generates real congestion at drop-off and pick-up. We route around those windows by default rather than trying to push through them.
Access from Horse Park Drive and Gundaroo Drive is otherwise good, and Amaroo is well within our normal Gungahlin run -- there is no distance surcharge and no difference in wait time compared to the town centre.
