    Tuggeranong Valley

    Covering the Whole Tuggeranong Valley

Tuggeranong is geographically the largest part of Canberra we cover, running from Kambah in the north to Conder and Banks at the southern edge. It is also closer to our Hume depot than most people assume.

Closer to the depot than it looks on a map

People in Gordon or Banks often assume they are at the far end of a long trip and expect to wait, or to be told there is a fee. Neither is true. Our yard is in Hume, at the south-eastern corner of the ACT, so the run down the Monaro Highway to the Tuggeranong suburbs is direct.

The tow is free from every address in the valley, exactly as it is from a suburb five minutes from the yard. Where you live changes our route, not your price.

More cars per household than the rest of the city

Tuggeranong households tend to run more vehicles than inner Canberra ones -- a commuter car, a family car, often a ute or a boat trailer, and a first car for whoever is learning. More vehicles means more of them reaching the end at any given time, and it is why we are in the valley constantly.

It also means a lot of Tuggeranong sales are not urgent. The car has been sitting for a while and the decision has finally been made. There is no time pressure from our side and no charge for the tow, so the only thing that matters is that the vehicle is complete.

The steeper streets around Kambah and Wanniassa

Parts of Kambah rising toward Mount Taylor, and pockets of Wanniassa and Fadden, have steeper driveways than the valley average. A steep driveway with a non-running car needs the winch working downhill, which is a straightforward job but not one to attempt with the wrong truck.

If your driveway is noticeably steep and the car will not roll, say so when you book. It costs you nothing and it means the driver arrives with the right gear the first time.

    Tuggeranong Cash for Cars FAQs

Do you buy old Commodores and family cars common in Kambah and Wanniassa?

Yes, any make or model, running or not. Older Commodores, wagons and family sedans are some of the most common cars we collect across the Tuggeranong valley.

Can you collect from further south like Banks, Conder or Gordon?

Absolutely, the whole valley is covered at the same rate. We use the Tuggeranong Parkway and Drakeford Drive daily, so the southern suburbs are no further out of our way.

My car has been sitting for years near Lake Tuggeranong or South.Point - is that a problem?

Not at all. Flat batteries, seized engines and years of sitting are exactly what we deal with. Free towing applies whether the car has moved in a decade or a day.
